This was the 30th annual award year for the program, which is considered the most prestigious acknowledgement of the power of family business in the State of New Jersey.It was held on October 19, 2022 at the Upper Montclair Country Club. Roman Jewelers won in the revenue under 10-million-dollar category. Roman and Sophie Shor opened the Business in 1989 and the family has been Jewelers for four generations. The business is now primarily run by their daughter, Lucy Zimmerman with her parents very closely involved. “We are so honored to receive this award,” said Ms. Zimmerman. “It would never have been possible without the vision and determination of my parents, Roman and Sophie, along with our customers, employees, and the community that has always supported us.” For the Shor/Zimmerman family, the story began with Roman Shor’s Great Grandfather who passed down the gift of jewelry design that set Roman and his young family on a journey that took them to the United States from the former Soviet Union in 1980.
