The diamonds in Romanza rings are unmistakably more brilliant than in other bridal jewelry. The Romanza bridal jewelry line is special because the pieces are manufactured using a technique called the die-struck process. Unlike casting, during the die-struck process, a sheet of precious metal (gold or platinum) is forged into a die under pressure. This produces a stronger, more durable metal than cast jewelry and allows for a higher polish. The combination of these elements creates an engagement ring or wedding band with diamond brilliance amplified in intensity.[vc_column width="1/4"][vc_single_image image="455" img_size="full"][vc_column width="3/4"]Tacori Designer Engagement Rings and Wedding bands We love Tacori engagement rings and wedding bands, especially because of their distinctive crescent design. What is an Anniversary Band?
[vc_column width="1/4"] [vc_column width="3/4"]Just what is an “anniversary band“? Is it different from a wedding band? In many ways, a wedding band and an anniversary band are similar types of jewelry. Both are given as a symbol of love and commitment on some major occasion. Additionally, anniversary bands and wedding bands generally look pretty similar, and can be worn in similar ways. Still, there are some majornoteworthy differences between wedding bands and anniversary bands. A wedding band is typically a plain precious metal band, without any stones or diamonds embedded into it. An anniversary band is a little more elaborate; these typically have some type or types of jewels in the band. An anniversary wedding band is a perfect gift for any anniversary. Whether it is your first, tenth, or fiftieth, an anniversary ring is always appropriate. The two types of bands also differ in the way they are worn. While wedding bands may solely be worn on the left ring finger, anniversary bands offer a little more variety in use. They may be worn on the left hand, alongside one’s wedding band and engagement ring. Or they may be worn solely with an engagement ring as a replacement for a wedding band. Additionally, anniversary bands can be worn on their own as a right-hand ring. Because anniversary bands are often wider-band rings, they look spectacular when worn by themselves. Finally, wedding bands and anniversary bands differ in the occasion on which they are given. Wedding bands are, of course, given on one’s wedding day. As the name implies, anniversary bands are often given as gifts on an anniversary. However, they are by no means an “anniversary-only” piece; anniversary rings also make great birthday or holiday gifts. There are so many styles to choose from when selecting an anniversary band. Each ring has a unique precious metal band, stone type, stone cut, stone setting, and overall design. Just like no two couples are alike, no two anniversary bands are exactly the same. How to Select the Right Wedding Band
Selecting a wedding band that will complement your engagement ring perfectly is no easy task. Because engagement rings are such complex pieces on their own, finding a matching wedding band can be quite complicated. Wedding bands come in a variety of different styles. Because of this, there are many different options to consider when choosing one. Do you want stones? If so, how many? And how should the stones be arranged? What type of stones should they be? If they’re diamonds, what shape/cut/clarity/color/carat weight should they be? These are just a few of many questions to consider when picking out a wedding band. No matter what you ultimately choose, there is one golden rule to remember when choosing a wedding band: wedding bands and engagement rings must complement, rather than compete with, one another. This is a pretty general rule, so let’s take a closer look into what having a complementary wedding band and engagement ring really means. The first thing to look for while matching a wedding band to an engagement ring is the contour or the shape of the shank of the engagement ring. It is especially important to pay attention to the contours if you’re looking for your engagement and wedding ring to sit flush, that is, fit together perfectly. Most engagement rings are made so that they can easily sit flush on a straight wedding band. However, sometimes this is not the case and a contoured or notched wedding band is necessary to fit together nicely with an engagement ring. If you prefer for your engagement ring and wedding band to sit together stacked, as many customers do, it is still important to consider the shape of both rings to ensure they sit together nicely. The next, and perhaps most important, consideration in finding a complementary wedding band is how elaborate your engagement ring is. If your engagement ring is more discrete and simple in diamond size/amount, then a more elaborate, stone-studded wedding band might balance out the pairing nicely. Conversely, if your engagement ring is extremely complex, a simpler wedding band might be your best choice. Of course, if your wedding band and engagement ring both have diamonds, it is important that the diamonds in both are of the same quality. The choice of precious metal and overall style of a wedding band is more open to personal preference. Some customers prefer plain gold wedding bands while others prefer platinum; certain people prefer extremely thin wedding bands, while others like theirs to be wider. No matter which style and metal you choose for your wedding band - and the options are numerous, it is important to keep the style of your engagement ring in mind. Our best advice is to choose the wedding band that will not steal attention from your engagement ring. Again, the most important goal is for these two rings to complement each other’s beauty and not compete with each other for attention. Looks for Men's Wedding Bands
A ring like this cobalt hammered style is available at Roman Jewelers in Bridgewater & Flemington 5,000 years ago, ancient Egyptians were exchanging wedding rings. They believed that the vein in the fourth finger lead directly to the heart, thus making a perfectly romantic place for a wedding ring. The tradition was passed down from generation to generation, from culture to culture, to the extent that what once was known as the “forth finger,” is now widely known as the “ring finger.” Lovers around the world still feel the romantic connection of the wedding band’s location on the ring finger as a direct artery to the heart. Today, the tradition continues, of course. But, if your man hasn't shopped rings recently, or if you are in the market to purchase a men's wedding band soon. Here are a few tips and looks that are popular: The classic Gold and White Gold Domed Men's Wedding Bands are still popular and practical, truly for the "classic" guy. Fortunately, plain and simple aren't the only styles available in men's rings. There are a wide variety of patterns that are popular twists on the classic band. Two-toned rings are crafted from two different metals that work together to create a number of patterns. Woven and wave are two of the most popular. Milgrain is a tiny beaded pattern along the edges of the band that's another popular pattern most commonly found on a domed ring. These variations can also be found on a flat ring, which tends to be a bit more "modern" looking. If your man is into a bit more bling, gemstones or diamond wedding bands are available and often add a bit of significance--maybe her birthstone, a loved one's birthstone, or a family tradition. This style can be purchased finished or created by one of Roman Jewelers custom jewelry designers. Outside of gold is a wealth of other men's wedding band options are that are truly becoming more and more popular--like Sterling Silver. In addition, alternative metals like Platinum, Palladium, Tungsten and cobalt bands are big choices due mostly to cost and also durability and comfort. Platinum would be a more expensive metal, but is extremely durable and a preference for many men who "like the feel" of the ring. Palladium is a precious metal that's known as platinum's country cousin. In the 1930s, platinum was found to be useful to our military and hard to come by, so it was proclaimed a strategic metal, making it unavailable for use in jewelry. Palladium was discovered to share many of platinum's characteristics and became popular with jewelers, especially because of its lower price tag. If your groom is a science enthusiast, a tungsten wedding band may appeal to his inner nerd. Tungsten is a highly durable, scratch-resistant metal that's inexpensive to boot. Its dark gray color is an interesting alternative to silver and gold, but it weighs more than silver, which could make it uncomfortable for men who don't usually wear jewelry. Cobalt Chrome wedding bands are also a wise alternative. They feature many unique properties and characteristics, the most obvious being a premium bright white color! Cobalt Chrome wedding bands are much whiter than tungsten and titanium wedding bands and are often compared to platinum in appearance. Since the bright white color isn’t just a plating, Cobalt Chrome wedding bands will stay white forever. Cobalt Chrome wedding bands are less scratch-resistant than tungsten wedding bands, but more scratch-resistant than titanium wedding bands and precious metal wedding bands. Whichever style, maybe it is time for your guy to get an updated/new look. Or if you are shopping, stop in our store during July's Wedding Band Promo, July 16 - 18 when you can purchase her ring and get his for free. Restrictions apply.

Platinum
Never since the dawn of the 20th century has this icy white metal been so hot - and it's a trend that shows no signs of slowing down. Thanks to the new technological advances in jewelry manufacturingthat are being used today, more and more designers are working with platinum. The new high-tech manufacturing allows the designers to create pieces that previously were impossible. Platinum is the world's strongest precious metal. It is simply whispering to the jewelers, "I am the metal of strength and beauty. I am the perfect choice for delicate, lacy designs that are nevertheless strong and durable."And the designers are listening.
Platinum in Your Future?
I do hope so. Platinum is strong, does not tarnish (however, develops a distinct patina), and doesn't turn yellow as white gold does. In fact, when used in jewelry, platinum is 95% pure (unlike 18K gold, which is 75% pure), and that is why platinum does not fade or change color. Platinum is certainly a star among the precious metals used in jewelry today. Since it was first used to create practical objects for the court of Louis XVI in the 1780s, the most remarkable jewelry were later made using platinum by Cartier, Tiffany, Faberge', and many other jewelers. Platinum is here to stay and so is your jewelry made out of one of the most rare and durable metals.
